An automotive engineer takes on the position of different roles including an auto technician, automotive designer, and an automotive development specialist. As such, he is responsible for testing the engines before they are introduced to the market. Automotive engineer takes on the following tasks: they develop test procedures with conventional and innovative methods, anticipate vehicle and component behavior in different conditions, and negotiate the costs of development and engineering work with commercial departments. An automotive engineer also heads the supervision of the technical staff in an automotive company, from the technicians, designers, and other personnel.
